Since the club’s first team training session in January, Las Vegas Lights FC practices at Kellogg-Zaher Soccer Complex have been open to the public, offering soccer fans the chance to see their team work up close.
Both in an effort to make those practices even more accessible to fans of all ages and to beat the Las Vegas summer heat, the team will be moving its practices to the evenings.
That shifted schedule will see practices at Kellogg-Zaher (7901 W. Washington Ave., Las Vegas, NV, 89128) begin at 7:30 p.m. Trainings will run until approximately 9:30 p.m., and fans are welcomed to stick around to meet Lights FC’s players & coaches once practice concludes – tonight and all summer long.
Stay up-to-date with the regularly updated team training schedule at LightsFC.com/Training. Make sure to check the schedule daily, as practice times can slightly shift on the day of each sessions.
“We love nothing more than giving our fans up close and personal experiences with our club, our coaches and our players,” Lights FC Owner & CEO Brett Lashbrook said. “From giving away the jerseys off of our players backs after each home match to making every team practice open to the public, this is what Lights FC is all about – by Las Vegas, for Las Vegas and of Las Vegas. We invite everyone to come to Kellogg-Zaher during the summer months to see just how hard these guys work, and then meet the guys, get autographs and take photos afterwards.”
Thursday night, the team will be training in preparation for a big home match Saturday at 8 p.m. at Cashman Field, when Lights FC (3-5-4, 13 points) welcomes Seattle Sounders 2 (3-7-2, 11 points). Tickets are available, starting at just $15, at LightsFC.com.
Saturday night will feature special tributes to all dads in attendance on the eve of Father’s Day, including a free beer for all dads at the Zappos Tailgate, which starts at 5:30 p.m., and the chance to bring their kids onto the field after the match to kick the soccer ball around.
