Las Vegas Lights FC is the home for professional soccer in Las Vegas.
Rooted in Downtown Vegas, we call historic Cashman Field home. Launched in 2018 and reborn under new ownership in 2024, we’re making our own history in this city.
The team plays in the Western Conference of the USL Championship, which is sanctioned by the U.S. Soccer Federation as a Division II professional league.
Ownership: José Bautista
José Bautista acquired Las Vegas Lights FC on January 6th, 2024.
Bautista’s investment has fueled a rapid transformation on the field. The Lights have not only qualified for the playoffs for the first time in club history but have clinched a home playoff match as a top team in the Western Conference.
Originally from the Dominican Republic, Bautista was one of the most feared sluggers of his era. Most notably with the Toronto Blue Jays, he was named an MLB All-Star six years in a row from 2010 to 2015. The baseball star also helped earn a bronze medal for his home country at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
Upon his retirement, Bautista has evolved into an active investor and entrepreneur, effectively combining his business acumen with his playing experience in the professional sports industry.
