Former UC Berkeley and UVA defender joins the Lights on a free transfer
Las Vegas Lights FC today announced the Club has signed defender Jack Singer to a contract until 2025 with an option for 2026, pending league and federation approval.
Singer played 15 matches for the University of Virginia throughout 2023, most notably giving out a game-tying assist against Hofstra University.
“We’re pleased to add Jack to our 2025 roster,” said Sporting Director Gianleonardo Neglia. “He’s a versatile player who has played in a variety of positions throughout his college career. This versatility allows him to play anywhere across the back line, which will be an important asset for us as we continue to build a strong roster for this season.”
Singer played for four years at the University of California-Berkeley, registering 50 appearances and scoring four goals. During the 2021 season, he was the team’s joint top-scorer with three goals.
He then went on to play for the University of Virginia while obtaining a master’s degree in educational psychology, participating in 15 matches and earning All-ACC Academic Team honors.
Las Vegas will open the season at home at Cashman Field on March 8 against the Tampa Bay Rowdies. For more information, including the full 2025 schedule, please click here.
