WHAT THEY’RE SAYING
Lights midfielder Valentin Noël
On what has made him so successful in the final third this season…
The service of my teammates. Any time we find good spaces, good areas, we stick to the plan and I get good service.
Lights defender Joe Hafferty
On putting the loss at Hartford behind them and not letting it turn into two or three…
The most important thing is the next game, that’s all we can focus on. We take our loss, we learn from it and we improve.
Lights Head Coach Dennis Sanchez
On keys to the matchup with Indy Eleven on Saturday…
There’s a little bit of the unexpected because of their quick turnaround with their Open Cup match on Tuesday. They’re also coming off a pretty extensive break…It’s kind of a guessing game right now in terms of what kind of lineup they’re going to put out. They’re going to stay pretty true to their behaviors, which we’ve seen. A combination of man-oriented pressing but also a mid-block and being more patient. We’re expecting them to be aggressive.
