Lights also sign midfielder Ashish Chattha to a 25-day contract
Las Vegas Lights FC today announced the Club has signed goalkeeper Carver Miller and midfielder Rory O’Driscoll. Miller arrives on a one-year deal, while O’Driscoll joins for one year with a club option to extend for the 2026 season.
Carver, a D.C. United and Arminia Bielefeld academy product, played the past two seasons for Portland Timbers 2 in MLS Next Pro, participating in a total of 11 matches across all competitions and keeping two clean sheets against Austin FC II and Ventura County FC.
O’Driscoll was part of the University of New Hampshire’s soccer team before turning professional, making 63 appearances, scoring 19 goals, and giving out seven assists for the UNH Wildcats. He would then go on to play for Minnesota United 2, participating in 43 matches, scoring 8 goals, and tallying four assists. Rory also made his MLS debut after signing a short-term deal with Minnesota United FC, making an appearance in a 3-2 loss to Portland Timbers.
“We’re excited to bring both Carver and Rory into the squad as young players with good potential,” said Sporting Director Gianleonardo Neglia. “Carver is only 20 years old, stands at 6’4”, and already has European and MLS Next Pro experience under his belt. Rory joined our preseason as a trialist and impressed with his performances. He’ll add important competition to our midfield group as he continues his development.”
In an additional transaction, the club signed Ashish Chattha to a 25-day contract. The midfielder made 57 appearances across the previous two seasons for Orange County SC.
